This is in my opinion THE deck of the modern era in mtg, and playing this deck trains you in the idea of how cards are traded for each other getting 1/2 for 1s in magic which I think is probably one of the most game changing concepts to really unlock (LSV always talks about the game in these terms). The idea of Jund is that you play the most powerful removal in the format to remove anything 1 for 1, then go head to head top decking against your opponents, eventually drowning them in value with Lili or wrenn, or beating down with a big Tarmogoyf. Or using just using Bloodbraid elf to cascade for 2 for 1s. Reid duke has an absolute masterclass in playing jund on YouTube and watching him play is so cool, hes such a good tutor for playing Jund, and this is the deck he favours in modern. I genuinely believe playing this deck makes you a better magic player, and the initial investment is well worth the pleasure of having the shell to play around with as new sets are released, and it is a joy to play. Foothills replacing verdant catacombs but honestly never been an issue for me, and I like having a prismatic vista too for games where life matters. Cards of value are all Ex if not NM. UMA Goyfs, wrenns all NM. Innisttad lotvs are probably somewhere between ex and nm. Its double sleeved, dragon shields are a bit played with but cards well protected and dry.
